“We are absolutely delighted with the extension to our Cottage in Redgate.”
Check out this renovation in Redgate — from a humble cottage to a 3-bedroom home with 60m² living area, new kitchen and more, for less than $140K…
When Pauline and Mike McMullan first decided to extend their bush cottage, they discovered Leimac Building via word-of-mouth.
(Turns out our previous clients are so happy with our work they’re singing our praises — thank you!!)
Mike phoned Gavin with the project scope, and Gavin was on site within a day to discuss their ideas. He priced it up, submitted the plans to Shire, and the project was a “go” within 4 weeks of the first meeting.
The couple envisaged extra bedrooms, a large living area and wrap-around deck as part of their extension. And that is what they got —
- a 60m² living area housing the new kitchen, dining, lounge and living spaces with a northern-facing window that captures the sun for a cosy nook;
- 2.4m deck on two sides, and a 3m deck on one end, laid with jarrah to the client’s specifications;
- two extra QS bedrooms;
- major bathroom upgrade;
- solid jarrah polished floorboards throughout;
- 130000L water tank added…
…. And possibly the best news for anyone considering an extension to their own modest cottage? The entire project was completed for under $140,000.
Needless to say, the end product looks stunning, and our clients are rapt. We couldn’t have been prouder to hand over the keys…
This is what our clients had to say about Leimac Building…
Pauline McMullan | Coppin Cottage, Redgate
We are absolutely delighted with the extension to our Cottage.
Gavin Leiper of Leimac Building and his crew of carpenters were fantastic to work with. Being able to work alongside the tradesmen, we were able to see first-hand the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into the build.
Gavin was extremely flexible and willing to accommodate changes as they presented and the crew were willing to work to meet various deadlines.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Gavin and Leimac Building, and we thank them for the wonderful job they have done.
